Mechanical Design Engineer

Role

G&H Building Services is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to help support its rapidly growing, successful team.

Responsibilities

• Strongly-focussed design involvement including attending design team meetings with clients
• Carrying out heat loss and pipe-sizing calculations
• Producing design drawings, working drawings, schematics and associated schedules
• Site visits and surveys and producing reports
• Reporting to and continuous liaison with the Design Manager
• Ensuring all deadlines are met to the highest standard
• Liaison with personnel in other parts of the G&H Group

Criteria

• A minimum of 2-3 years design experience within the Building Services industry
• Ideally have design experience in a wide range of sectors
• Preferably a consultant or contracting background
• Qualified to ONC/HNC standard as a minimum in Building Services or Mechanical Services Engineering
• Experience using AutoCAD and Hevacomp
• Knowledge of REVIT would be ideal but not essential
• Confidence to take a ‘hands on’ approach
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible attitude to balance work loads and deadlines
• Applicants must hold a driving licence and valid CSCS card
