G&H Building Services is underway working on phase 2 of the Sheila Silver Library upgrade at Leeds Beckett University.
The £795,000 contract with the Sewell Group sees a full mechanical and electrical design and build to mirror phase 1.
The second part of the university’s library upgrade programme will see G&H Building Services’ work include chilled hot water, low pressure hot water, chilled beams, domestic services and ventilation.
New small power, emergency lighting and data and access controls will also be installed.
In partnership with Sewell Construction, G&H Building Services completed the £1.4 million refurbishment last September.
A fast-track project, phase 1 saw G&H Building Services deliver a full strip-out and reinstall of all M&E services in just 10 weeks.
Senior Contracts Manager at G&H Building Services, Paul Cuss, said: “We have extensive experience working in education buildings including live, occupied facilities and new build schemes.
“As well as working considerately around students and staff, we have great knowledge of delivering services to create the best environment for learning relevant to how the building will be used.
“Phase 1 of the project was very successful and we played a key role delivering the scheme to a tight deadline ready for the start of the new academic year.
“We are delighted to have been appointed again by Sewell Construction to complete the project.”
