G&H Building Services has been shortlisted in the national Heating and Ventilation News Awards. It is now in the running to win the top award of Building Services Contractor of the Year.
G&H Building Services won this title in 2013 and has capitalised on it by securing larger and more prominent projects throughout the UK.
Judges were impressed with the company’s pattern of sustained growth and managed expansion during the last 12 months, which has culminated in the formation of the G&H Group that encompasses all four G&H companies – Building Services; Sustainability; Maintenance; and Fabrication.
For the financial year ending June 2014, G&H Building Services turnover was £15.03 million. This represents significant growth on £13.05m in 2013 and £10.55m in 2012.
Since 2010, in a period when many competitors have been stagnating or downsizing, the G&H Group has increased staff numbers from 28 in 2010 to over 100 in 2014 with heavy investment in training, new equipment such as BIM and health and safety. To manage this continuous growth, it is moving into new premises this year.
Managing Director of the G&H Group, Graham Kelly, said: “Since we last won the Contractor of the Year award in 2013, we have developed the business comprehensively, giving clients an even higher level of service.
“We have invested heavily in our staff through more training and equipment, providing them with an environment that enables them to perform at their best.
“This has played a significant part in our business growth with more companies becoming clients and we are now hoping this will be recognised and we win the award.”
G&H Group’s key clients include BAM Construction, Clugston, GMI Construction, Harris, ISG, Mitie, Sir Robert McAlpine and Sewell.
Projects include Rolls-Royce, Asda, Morrisons, EE, University of Law, 10 Trinity Square, Battersea Power Station, LA Fitness, Coca-Cola, Siemens and University College London Hospitals.
G&H Building Services will learn if it has won at an awards ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel, London in April.
