Over 40 people took part in G&H Group’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge charity event

Over 40 people took part in G&H Group’s sponsored Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge at the weekend.

The event was organised as part of a year-long campaign to raise £5,000 for each of G&H Group’s three chosen charities: Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, Prostate Cancer UK and MIND.

Taking in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, the peaks cover 24 miles.

Walkers included G&H employees, clients, suppliers, three children and three dogs who took on one, two or all three mountains.

Managing Director at G&H Group, Graham Kelly, said: “It was a fantastic day out, starting very early in the morning for those walking all three peaks and luckily the weather was kind to us.

“Of the 42 who took part, 19 completed all three peaks and it was a great effort by everyone involved including the support teams who made food and drink and provided refreshments for walkers and transported people around.

“Most importantly though, the event helped us raise even more money for our three chosen charities and we are now closing in on the £15,000 target for the year with three months still to go.

“So we are now looking to go well beyond this and keep pushing to raise as much money as possible.”
