London to Paris bike ride challenge to raise vital funds for Bloodwise charity

A G&H director is part of a team of fundraisers taking on a London to Paris cycle challenge in aid of charity.

G&H Maintenance Director, David Ridsdale, will ride 500km over four days in a bid to raise £18,000 for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research).

Organised by Everlast Group, seven cyclists will take on the challenge in September.

They will set off from the iconic Eltham Palace in London before making their way through Kent, across the Channel into France before finishing at the Arc de Triomphe at the top of Champs-Élysées in Paris.

David Ridsdale said: “Cycling from London to Paris in just four days is going to be a big challenge but a great experience and one the group is really looking forward to.

“Most importantly, we are going to raise some vital funds for Bloodwise and hope people can support us as best they can.

“Money raised will be used to help develop better testing so people can get an accurate diagnosis more quickly as well as researching cures for every type of blood cancer.”

Formed in 1960, Bloodwise is the leading blood cancer research charity.

Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer and the third biggest cause of cancer deaths in the UK.
