A mechanical and electrical contract worth £4 million to help transform apartments in the capital has been won by G&H Building Services.
The contract is with JJ Rhatigan and Company as part of its redevelopment of Merton Council’s Colliers Wood Tower in south-west London. The work will see a range of core mechanical and electrical services carried out as 173 apartments are overhauled. Included in the work is a central heating system that will feed individual boiler interface units in the 17-storey building in each of the one and two-bed properties.
Managing Director at G&H Building Services, Graham Kelly, said: “This is a sizeable and significant contract and is the latest in a long line of projects we have managed in London.
“We have a strong relationship with JJ Rhatigan and Company, delivering mechanical and electrical schemes across the UK for their developments for many years. “This is a large project that will be challenging due to the tower being 17-storeys high but we have great experience completing complex schemes of this important nature. “Once finished, residents in each apartment will enjoy high quality heating, lighting and electrical systems.”
Niall Higgins, Regional Manager at JJ Rhatigan and Company said: “We have vast experience in the design and build of various large-scale developments, in particular apartments, residential and hotel projects. “We look forward to working with G&H in delivering the Colliers Wood Tower project to the highest quality and health and safety standards.”
The redevelopment project by JJ Rhatigan and Company will see the tower converted into modern apartments with shops on the ground floor. The work starts on-site this month.
