G&H Group to support three national charities in 2022 and sets £15,000 fundraising target
G&H Group has announced it will support three chosen charities in 2022 and has set a challenging fundraising target of £15,000.
Money will be raised for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, Prostate Cancer UK and mental health organisation, MIND.
A dedicated fundraising committee has been created with staff organising and co-ordinating a busy and varied calendar of activity throughout the year.
This will include tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks, taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge covering Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon, family walks and cycling endurance rides.
The first event was ‘Dry January’ with G&H staff donating the money they would otherwise spend on alcohol during the month.
Managing Director of G&H Group, Graham Kelly, said: “Historically we have raised a significant amount of money for numerous local and national charities but we wanted to structure our efforts better and commit to an official approach to complement our other CSR work.
“We are organising a calendar of activity and encouraging staff, sub-contractors and suppliers to support three fantastic causes.
“The number of people diagnosed with cancer continues to rise so the battle is relentless, while Kevin Sinfield’s heroic fundraising efforts shone a bright light on how devastating motor neurone disease can be.
“The importance of mental wellbeing is now well known but the number of people affected means charities like MIND have never been busier.
“Mental health is a topic G&H is very keen to address so the fundraising events we run will also double up as wellbeing activities for our staff because getting active, helping others, team work and giving all help boost positive emotions leading to healthier, more active lives.”
