G&H Fabrication increases specialist offsite facility and wins over £2 million of work
G&H Fabrication has increased the size of its specialist offsite welding facility after recently winning £2 million of work.
The extended prefabrication site is 11,500 sq ft, providing more room to carry out large-scale works and store materials.
G&H Fabrication is part of the G&H Group, a £30 million mechanical and electrical building services company.
In its 2016/17 financial year running to June, G&H Fabrication turned over £2.7 million and has already secured over £2 million for 2017/18.
Work includes providing off-site prefabricated building services equipment for combined heat and power (CHP) schemes, data centres and short-term operating reserve (STOR) projects that provide the National Grid with reserves at peak times.
Director of G&H Fabrication, James Sherburn, said: “We have enjoyed rapid success in a relatively short period of time which reflects our ability and growing reputation to deliver work of the highest quality.
“With more awareness of the benefits of offsite prefabrication – such as build and labour cost savings, time savings, reduced congestion onsite, better testing and greater safety – we expect the business to continue to grow.
“Bigger premises will give us more room for the larger work we carry out such as 24” stainless steel flue pieces, large skid-mounted plant rooms and components for industrial-scale energy generation facilities.”
As a result of the growth and expansion, G&H Fabrication is recruiting foremen and coded welders.
