G&H Building Services lands latest large-scale residential scheme in south of England
Mechanical, electrical and public health specialist G&H Building Services has been appointed to deliver its latest high-rise residential scheme in the south of England.
The Landing in Maidenhead town centre sees full MEP delivered to 429 new homes and a two-storey car park being built on a 3.5 acre site.
G&H Building Services was appointed by the main contractor JJ Rhatigan in a c. £12 million design and build contract.
Using Revit 3D modelling throughout the project, G&H Building Services’ work will include electrical heating to apartments, power distribution, fire alarms, heat recovery ventilation, sprinklers and smoke ventilation.
Domestic services and drainage will also be provided and so too will ventilation systems to the two-storey car park.
The systems are being designed and installed to allow a phased handover to avoid disruption among the earliest residents moving in.
Senior Contracts Manager at G&H Building Services, Paul Cuss, said: “Over the past five years we have delivered numerous multi-storey residential schemes in London and surrounding areas in busy locations so we are looking forward to using our experience to deliver a very important scheme for Maidenhead.
“Our work will be highly organised delivered in close liaison with the main contractor and other trades to make sure the project meets the agreed programme.
“The services we have designed are bespoke, created specifically for the people who will be living in the apartments so they get the best experience possible.”
The Landing is part of Maidenhead’s wider multi-million pound regeneration plan.
Future phases will see over 100,000 sq ft of office space, ground floor retail, new shops and a garden square including soft landscaping, trees and seating areas.
