G&H Building Services assists Schneider Electric in its development of Acti9 Isobar P

G&H Building Services acted as a key customer voice for Schneider Electric – the global specialist in energy management and automation – as part of its development of their latest market-leading low voltage distribution board.

Over two years, G&H Building Services contributed to the Acti9 Isobar P offer development process providing valuable customer insight.

It is the latest addition to Schneider Electric’s Acti9 range of low voltage (LV) distribution boards, which allows for a quicker installation while incorporating more protection and connectivity.

An array of specialists from G&H Building Services worked with Schneider Electric’s product development team to offer detailed customer feedback, testing and insight during the process.

Ken Shepherd, Quality Compliance Manager at G&H Building Services, said: “From our clients’ perspective – large contractors – it demonstrates the standing we have in this sector that Schneider Electric asked us to provide feedback during their voice of customer research and development.

“We committed a team of experienced engineers, estimators, senior managers and installers to provide input during the substantive offer creation process.

“For example, we suggested the size of the plug-on RCBO thumb point to be bigger so it was more ergonomic and this change was one of several made following our feedback.

“The end result is the Acti9 Isobar P which is very easy to use; it’s plug-on RCBO functionality makes installing faster than ever; it will halve the time it currently takes.

“The benefits for our clients from us using Acti9 Isobar P include a further demonstration of our commitment to specifying high-quality, innovative products and the ability for us to be quicker on-site, produce neater work and operate in a safer manner.”

Leandro Souza, category marketing manager at Schneider Electric, said: “It was important to have G&H’s commitment, expertise and input from a customer point of view, enabling us to pragmatically focus on the key benefits brought by Acti9 Isobar P.

“Making installations faster, cheaper and more profitable, it is ideal for businesses who want the most effective and flexible solution in asset monitoring and control. What’s more, it liberates electricians from unnecessary wiring, helping them spend more time on growing their business.”
