G&H Engineering Services in recruitment drive as organic growth continues thanks to new service offering

The specialist off-site prefabricator and electrical process engineering division of G&H Group is recruiting for a series of roles as it continues to grow.

Revenues at G&H Engineering Services are up 200% to £7 million compared to this time last year.

The increase is attributed to the addition of full electrical process engineering services and securing more work for its mechanical off-site prefabrication.

G&H Engineering Services is now recruiting for electricians, approved electricians, pipefitters, welders and both electrical and mechanical supervisors.

And as part of its long-term growth plan, has recently appointed electrical and mechanical apprentices and committed to taking on two every year in conjunction with Leeds College of Building.

G&H Engineering Services works predominantly in the combined heat and power (CHP), energy, power, health, food and beverage, water and horticultural sectors.

Recent completed work includes large-scale CHP schemes for Ylem Energy and GLW Feeds, while a full fabrication and electrical process engineering project was delivered for Müller.

Director of G&H Engineering Services, James Sherburn, said: “We have great experience prefabricating large scale power generation facilities and this has been the cornerstone of our success over the past few years.

“Last summer we complemented this core service with the addition of electrical process engineering, which is now paying dividends by helping us secure a wider scope of work.

“Our specialist facility has the capacity to deliver large-scale prefabrication works with in the region of 90 per cent created and tested off-site.

“We are now looking to build on this controlled, organic growth adding to our workforce with a range of electrical and mechanical appointments.”

G&H Engineering Services provides mechanical pipework and steelwork fabrication for large-scale power generation sites, full district heating schemes, plant skids, packaged plant rooms and mezzanine flooring.

Electrically, low and high voltage systems, lighting, small power, fire alarms, communications, security and safety systems are provided.
