Qualified Gas Plumber/Pipefitter

Role

This is a full-time on-site role for a Qualified Experienced Plumber/Pipe fitter to join our team to work on commercial offices and education facilities. The successful candidate will ideally have Gas qualifications, be able to demonstrate at extensive knowledge of commercial heating and plumbing systems, demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised, interpret drawings and be able to liaise with other site personnel and clients to deliver a project from start to finish.


Responsibilities

  • Read detailed schematic drawings and planning pipe systems, related equipment installations.
  • Install pipework, brackets, and equipment to concise schematic drawings.
  • Assemble pipe components and systems.
  • Repair and maintaining pipe systems, supports and related equipment.
  • Perform strength and tightness tests on gas and water pipes complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
  • Correctly select and safely use hand tools, mechanical tools and equipment in differing environments for the fabrication, installation repair of pipework systems.
  • Work with others and contribute to effective working relationships within an Engineering Construction environment.
  • Communicate by keeping others informed about workplans or activities which may affect them and seek assistance from others without it causing undue disruption to normal work activities.

Criteria

  • Time served skilled mechanical pipefitter/heating engineer level 3 as a minimum.
  • Must have experience of commercial plantrooms and equipment.
  • Must be capable of managing and prioritizing various mechanical projects and tasks, some of which may be outside their normal experience.
  • Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite of this position.
  • CSCS/ Skill card required.
  • ICPN1 – Preferred
  • TCPA1/ 1A – Preferred
  • Full UK Driving Licence
