Administrative Assistant

Role

A Leeds-based Administrative Assistant is required by G&H Engineering Services, which is part of the G&H Group, a specialist MEP company that works across a range of sectors.

We provide outstanding mechanical and electrical design and installation within the energy sector for long standing customers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has relevant office and/or administrative experience. The successful candidate will have excellent customer and communication skills.

You will be proactive and flexible in the new tasks you take on, with a welcoming and ‘can do’ attitude. Being able to work on your own and under pressure, with an ability to manage and prioritise your time effectively is key.

Overall, we are looking for a confident and capable individual who possesses the essential requirements of the role and wants to be part of a growing and ambitious company.


Responsibilities

  • Dealing with incoming calls and emails from customers and suppliers
  • Obtaining quotations and assisting with purchasing
  • Maintaining Engineering personal training is up to date
  • Maintaining all hire equipment is logged and onto system
  • Document control and maintenance of multiple filing structures, both electronic and hard copy
  • Assisting with the management of project documentation including updating and amending manuals, risk assessments, method statements, presentations, reports, and general correspondence
  • Organising and managing travel arrangements and bookings
  • Providing administrative support across the business as required

Criteria

  • Highly computer literate and accurate typing and data entry skills
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of Amtech job costing would be beneficial
  • Confident telephone skills
  • Excellent time management skills and communication
  • Ability to handle own workload and prioritise urgent tasks
  • Willingness to work within a team
