Three G&H divisions to work on flagship Bupa care home in £2.1m contract

Three divisions of the G&H Group will work on a new flagship care home being built for Bupa in Haywards Heath, Sussex.

Appointed by the main contractor City Sq. Developments in a £2.1 million contract, G&H Building Services, Fabrication and Maintenance will all play a key role in the scheme.

The purpose built 64-bed care home will include a multi-purpose activities room, beauty salon and landscaped gardens.

It forms part of a newly developed site that also features retirement living apartments, houses and a community centre (which will be run by other operators).

As part of a pre-designed scheme, G&H Building Services will install heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, water services, small power and data.

The plant room and associated pipework will be built offsite by G&H Fabrication and delivered to site at the required time, speeding up the mechanical and electrical process and increasing quality levels.

Once completed, G&H Maintenance will carry out any repairs for the first 12 months.

G&H Group’s Pre-Construction Director, David Davis, said: “This scheme will set a new standard with the high level of systems and products being used.

“By integrating three complementary G&H divisions, we are able to co-ordinate the process, execute the installation to a consistently high standard, save time and ease City Sq. Developments’ workload significantly.

“We have a great deal of experience working in the health sector and have a proven track record of delivering services that are reliable and specifically meet the needs of residents, visitors and staff.”

The G&H Group will start onsite in March and the scheme is due to open in Winter 2017.
