G&H Sustainability to install large-scale solar panel PV for global tool company

G&H Sustainability has been appointed to install a large-scale solar panel scheme for one of the world’s leading toolmakers.

The 2,272m2 array will provide a clean tech energy solution for the commercially confidential company’s new 235,000 sq ft warehouse and 18,000 sq ft office space.

Located in the UK, the solar scheme will cut energy use by over 310,300kWh every year.

The work by G&H Sustainability, which is a division of the £30 million G&H Group, will see it install 1,390 panels.

G&H Sustainability Director, Andrew Hudson, said: “Large-scale premises like this are perfectly suited to reap the benefits of solar panels which are a key part of any long-term energy reduction strategy.

“The array of nearly 2,300m2 will save a significant amount of energy and will therefore drastically reduce fuel bills.

“We have estimated that energy savings in excess of 294,450kWh will be achieved.

“As part of our work, we have undertaken full system designs, are integrating it with structural and roof cladding requirements, will provide a display screen in the building’s reception showing energy generated and carbon savings and ensure compliance with Building Regulations requirements.

“Working for a business that is a global leader in its field reflects the quality of our work and it is the latest in a long line of high profile solar PV schemes we have installed.”
