G&H Maintenance transforms Haven’s Thornwick Bay Holiday Village ahead of the summer season
G&H Maintenance is transforming one of Haven’s most popular sites on the North-East coast of England ahead of this year’s holiday season.
The work at Thornwick Bay Holiday Village in Flamborough Head follows on from the success G&H Maintenance has enjoyed managing numerous Haven sites since 2010.
The male, female, family and disabled touring and camping block facilities are being rejuvenated with the existing showers, toilets, tiles, sanitary ware, vanity units and mirrors all being removed and replaced.
New disabled shower and toilet facilities are also being supplied and installed.
Floor tiling spanning 140 sqm and wall tiling covering 260 sqm will be fitted along with new LED IP-rated downlights, new extractor systems, hair driers, power supplies and a disabled alarm system.
New ceilings with insulation will be installed and so too an ‘Aco’ style drainage channel.
Replacement roof domes featuring a double skin will be fitted while other works include the repainting of walls and woodwork, a large mural supplied and installed and the creation of a hygienic caravan waste point.
G&H Maintenance is also designing and installing a new gas fired heating system including children-friendly low surface temperature radiators.
Director of G&H Maintenance, David Ridsdale, said: “The refurbishment is transforming the touring blocks and is a vital piece of work given the large number of people who visit every summer.
“When completed, the bathroom, toilet, shower and changing facilities will offer a clean, contemporary environment and enhance the enjoyment of people using the 184 pitches.
“Aesthetically it will be a big improvement and from a business perspective, the new equipment and servicing of mechanical and electrical services will make them run far more efficiently, saving a significant amount of money.”
