G&H Building Services completes Steeper Group’s new HQ with Sewell Construction

G&H Building Services has completed its work for a world leading manufacturer of prosthetics which brought office and factory operations under one roof in a new headquarters.

The international Steeper Group made the investment after falling victim to the floods at Christmas in 2015.

Working in partnership with the main contractor, Sewell Construction, G&H Building Services carried out a full mechanical and electrical design and build scheme over five months.

Domestic hot and cold water services, compressed air, lighting, power, air conditioning, gas supplies, ducting, fire alarms, security systems and door access were installed in both the office and factory as well as the new manufacturing and customer service areas.

Project Engineer at G&H Building Services, Stuart Howe, said: “The new headquarters for Steeper Group has the latest cutting edge facilities.

“Our work was tailored to make sure the building services in each area meet the needs of the people using them.

“The mechanical and electrical services needed in the office are different to those in the factory, the manufacturing and customer areas.

“The result is a facility that has the best modern day building services that create the perfect environment for Steeper Group to operate in.”

Steeper Group is one of the leading prosthetics, orthotics and assistive technology companies.

It has around 110 state-registered clinicians and 194 technicians providing clinical services to some 250,000 patients every year across prosthetics and orthotics.

It is also one of the UK’s largest suppliers of orthotic and orthopaedic products to the NHS.
